The Chamber's Military Affairs Committee sponsored its John C. Beitz Service Person of the Quarter Luncheon on February 20 in Morehead City, and the honorees were: Cpl. Grace L. Waladkewics of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point; 1st Class Boatswain's Mate Tesse M. Wilson of the Coast Guard Cutter ELM; and Spc. Crisanta Gonzalez of the Army Reserve Center in Morehead City, 824th Transportation Company (Heavy Watercraft). About 40 Chamber members and guests attended the function. The meal was hosted, prepared and served by Morehead City-Beaufort Elks Lodge #1710.
