Proceeds from the 14th Annual Military Affairs Golf Tournament, played April 18 at the Country Club of the Crystal Coast, help provide funding for the MAC's annual program of work. The committee's goal is to strengthen relations between the military and business communities.

The Military Affairs Committee recognizes service men and women from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Coast Guard Sector North Carolina and the Army Reserve. The next John C. Beitz Service Person of the Quarter will be at 12 noon, Friday, May 9, at Woodmen of the World Lodge 188. It is sponsored by White Swan Express of Atlantic Beach.
